Junior Class

Sundays
9:00 - 10:30 am

Sean O'Neill leads our a junior class, which is $15 for members. Participants must under 18 years of age, all skill levels welcome!

Paddle Palace Club is proud of this top-notch junior program. A special thank you to Sean O'Neill for his generous time teaching the Junior Class!

Wednesdays
6:00 - 6:30pm

Staff trainer Jay Crystal leads a weekly FREE Fundamentals of Table Tennis Class. This is a perfect opportunity for true beginners or novices to experience our world-class facility for free and learn about one of the fastest growing sports in the US! Bring your friends and family. No RSVP or drop-in fee required!

This class covers the basic spin techniques of Table Tennis, including: The Push, Flip, Block, Hit, Chop, Loop, Fish, and Lob. Before practicing the arm mechanics of each stroke, we will look in-depth into lower-body movement: staying low/wide, having weight forward, and rotating with your core.

Focused Training

Tuesdays
6:00 - 7:00pm

Coach: Jiwei Xia
Asst Coach: Cory Johnson

These small groups will focus on a very specific theme for the entire month. The theme can be voted on by the students. Possible themes are: service, service return, pushing, counter-driving, blocking, mid-distance backhand looping, footwork, etc.

The cost is $16 per session for members/ $32 per session for guests.

Lev. 1&2 Training

Tuesdays
7:00 - 8:00pm

Coach: Sean O'Neill

The Level 2 training sessions (4-weeks) are offered for intermediate level players with a minimum USATT rating of 800 (or 500 Rating Central). All players should be familiar with basic stroke techniques and have a level of proficiency.

Students will also practice all the basic forehand and backhand strokes. Coach Sean will analyze each player’s strokes. He will focus on areas of improvement for each individual and will provide specialized technical instruction.

Dealing With Defense

Saturdays
7:00 - 8:00pm

Lead by Cory Johnson, this 1-hour group class will discuss the physical, technical, & tactical tools needed to combat – and develop your own – defensive shots such as chops, lobs, & push-blocks.

Junior Practice

Creative Shot-Making

Sundays
7:00 - 8:00pm

Trainer: Cory Johnson

Lead by Cory Johnson, this 1-hour group class will explore the creative shot-making possibilities of intermediate Table Tennis play. Although open to all levels, an ability to produce fundamental, non-creative strokes is highly recommended.

Member: $10 Guest: $15.

The Level 3 training sessions (4-weeks) are offered for advanced-level players with a minimum USATT rating of 1000.

Coach Jiwei will provide an added emphasis on match play and strategy, as well as reinforce the fundamentals of driving, looping topspin, looping backspin, service, service return, and footwork. Through specialized drills, students will improve their strokes. Players will gain insights into strengths and weaknesses of their strokes and will have a plan for effective ways to improve their game.
